This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies (like local storage) on Flock Football Analytics (the "Service").

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

  • Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser.
  • Local storage is similar browser storage used by websites to remember information (often for login/session functionality).
  • Pixels/tags/scripts are small code snippets that can collect device or usage information.

2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

A. Strictly necessary (authentication & security)

We use strictly necessary cookies and/or local storage to:

  • authenticate you and maintain your session after you sign in,
  • keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

If you disable strictly necessary cookies/storage, parts of the Service (including login) may not work.

B. Analytics and performance measurement (no ads)

We use the following tools to understand performance and improve the Service:

  • Vercel Web Analytics (enabled) and Speed Insights (enabled). These are designed to measure traffic/performance without relying on third-party cookies. Vercel describes Web Analytics as identifying visitors using a hash created from the incoming request with session data discarded after 24 hours. Speed Insights is described as collecting anonymous data points not tied to an individual visitor or IP address and not enabling reconstruction of browsing sessions across pages.

We do not use targeted advertising cookies or retargeting pixels at this time.

3. Cookies / Local Storage We Use

Because some cookie/local storage names depend on configuration (and can change when vendors update their software), the lists below describe categories rather than guaranteeing exact cookie names.

A. Strictly necessary cookies / local storage

CategoryProviderPurposeDuration
Authentication / session storageOur site (via Supabase)Keep you signed in and enable account access; may store session tokens in local storage by default and can be configured to use cookies for SSR.Session or persistent (depends on configuration)

B. Third-party cookies and similar tech

Some third parties may set cookies or similar technologies when you use their services through our site (for example, during sign-in or checkout). Examples include:

  • Google sign-in (OAuth),
  • Stripe checkout,
  • Ko-fi buttons/widgets (if enabled on the page).

These third parties control their own cookies and data practices. Your browser may allow you to block third-party cookies, but doing so may affect sign-in or payment functionality.

4. Do We Use Google Analytics or Advertising Cookies?

  • Google Analytics: Not enabled in production as of the Effective Date.
  • Advertising/retargeting pixels: Not used.

If we enable Google Analytics or any other non-essential tracking that uses cookies (or similar technologies) in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and implement consent mechanisms where required.

5. Email Tracking Pixels (Not Cookies)

We send transactional emails (e.g., magic links). We do not use email open tracking or click tracking pixels in our emails.

6. Your Choices and Controls

You can control cookies and similar technologies in several ways:

  • Browser settings: Most browsers let you delete or block cookies and manage site storage.
  • Private browsing / anti-tracking tools: May limit storage and some tracking scripts.
  • Third-party cookies: You may be able to block these in your browser settings.

If you disable strictly necessary cookies/storage, login and account features may not function.

7. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date and may provide additional notice if changes are material.
